The PocketQuery Roles
PocketQuery uses four user roles in its core:
Confluence User
PocketQuery Editor
PocketQuery Administrator
Confluence Administrator
A Confluence User can use the PocketQuery macro on Confluence pages and blog posts.
A PocketQuery Editor, PocketQuery Administrator or Confluence Administrator additionally has access to the PocketQuery Administration where queries, templates, converter, data sources can be managed and entities can be imported/exported.

Managing Confluence Roles
A Confluence User is anyone with access to the Confluence site. The user account is managed within the Atlassian administration.
→ Read about how to specify how users get site access
Confluence Admins are users that have Confluence admin permissions and are also managed within the Atlassian administration.
→ Read about how to give users admin permissions
Managing PocketQuery Roles
The PocketQuery Editor and PocketQuery Administrator roles are managed via the PocketQuery settings page in the Confluence Administration → PocketQuery.
Adding user to the PocketQuery Editor and PocketQuery Administrator roles works by configuring user groups with these roles on the settings page. Every user in these groups will be assigned to the roles accordingly.
If you wish to add individual users to the roles, first create two groups, for example pocketquery-administrators
and pocketquery-editors
via the group management in the Atlassian administration and add the users to those groups.
