Cloud Migration Guide
Atlassian has announced the end-of-life for Confluence Data Center. PocketQuery is fully available on Confluence Cloud, and migrating your PocketQuery entities is straightforward. This guide walks you through the process step by step.
Prerequisites
A Confluence Data Center instance
A Confluence Cloud instance
The latest version of PocketQuery installed on both instances
Confluence Administrator permissions
Step 1: Migrate Your Confluence Content to Cloud
First, migrate your Confluence pages and spaces.
Follow Atlassian’s official Cloud Migration Guide to move your Confluence content from Data Center to Cloud.
PocketQuery entities are not included in the Atlassian content migration and must be migrated separately using the steps below.
Step 2: Export PocketQuery Entities from Data Center
In your Data Center instance:
Go to Administration → PocketQuery → Import/Export
Under Global Export, click Export
An XML file containing all PocketQuery entities will be downloaded:
Datasources
Queries
Templates
Converters
Step 3: Import PocketQuery Entities into Cloud
In your Cloud instance:
Open Apps → PocketQuery → Import/Export
Upload the XML file you exported from Data Center
Review the Import Validation Results
Click Perform import
Your Datasources, Queries, Templates, and Converters are now imported into Confluence Cloud.
Step 4: Configure PocketQuery Administrator and Editor Groups
In your Data Center instance:
Navigate to Administration → PocketQuery → Configuration
Note the configured Administrator and Editor groups
If no groups are configured, you can skip this step in Cloud
In your Cloud instance:
Go to Settings → Apps → PocketQuery
Apply the same Administrator and Editor groups noted earlier
