Bulk merge lets you merge multiple branches at once from the space-level Branches overview. This is a real time-saver when several pages were branched for a release, a documentation sprint, or a coordinated content update and you want to publish them together.
Open the Branches overview
-
Go to the Confluence space where your branches live.
-
Open the Page Branching Branches space page from the app (in the space sidebar or apps section, depending on your site).
-
You should see a table of every active branch in the space.

Run a bulk merge
-
Select the branches you want to merge.
-
Click Bulk merge.
-
Page Branching validates your selection first. If any branch conflicts with another selected branch or cannot merge into its original, you will see what needs to be fixed before continuing.
-
When validation succeeds, confirm the merge (you may be able to add a version comment).
-
Wait for the operation to finish. A success message is shown when all selected branches are merged.
📷 Screenshot needed: The bulk merge validation step, with one valid branch (green check) and one conflicting branch (warning), and a clear next-step action.

After merge, branches are archived or deleted according to your space settings.
When bulk merge needs a little help
If a branch has a merge conflict with its original page, resolve that branch individually first (see Merge Conflicts) before including it in a bulk merge.
