Link checks, saved link statuses and link checker settings are now available to space admins only.

The URL Checker now only checks public web addresses, also when a link redirects.

Link check results are now kept separate for every Confluence site.

The URL Checker now requires an active Advanced license.

Saved scan data is now validated and limited to 25,000 links per space.

Links with unsupported types, such as javascript: links, are now shown as plain text and can’t be opened.
Compatibility notes

Opening links: only web, email, phone, SMS, map and relative links can be opened from Link Management. Other link types, such as ftp: or file: links, are shown as plain text.

URL Checker: links to internal network addresses now show as unverifiable with the reason “Blocked by policy”. Error details now use short general messages, such as “Connection failed”.

Very large spaces: link checks store and check the first 25,000 links of a space.
