Welcome to the Getting Started Guide for Diary for Confluence Cloud! In this guide you will learn how to install the app, put a diary on a page, and write your first entry.
Short on time? No problem. If you already know Confluence, insert the Diary macro on any page, publish, and start writing — then head to the User Guide for the rest.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
-
A Confluence Cloud site with permission to install apps from the Atlassian Marketplace (usually a site or product admin)
-
Edit permission on the pages where you want to keep a diary
That is the whole list. Diary has no global and no space configuration, so there is nothing for an administrator to switch on afterwards.
What you will do
-
Install Diary from the Atlassian Marketplace
-
Insert the Diary macro on a page and publish it
-
Write your first entry — without ever leaving view mode
